On Friday, August 23, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi announced the guidelines for the Subhadra scheme in the Odisha Assembly. According to the Chief Minister’s announcement, women between the ages of 21 and 60 will be eligible for this scheme. Under this scheme, eligible women will get Rs 10,000 annually for 5 years. This amount will be sent to the bank accounts of beneficiary women through DBT in two phases every year. The first installment of Rs 5,000 will be deposited in their bank accounts on Rakhi Purnima. The second installment of Rs 5,000 will be deposited on International Women’s Day i.e. March 8. The beneficiary will also get a Subhadra debit card under this scheme.
