For Renewal Applicant:

Already Employed Applicant: Employed applicants seeking better opportunities must provide a “No Objection Certificate” from their current employer to register.

Exchange card validity: Registrants must renew their registration every three years in the indicated month on their registration card.

Grace period for Renewal: If registrants fail to renew their registration even after a grace period of three months, their registration will be canceled, and they will be removed from the Live Register maintained in the Employment Exchange.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be above the age of 14 years.
  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam state.
  • The applicants are eligible to register in only one Employment Exchange within the state, based on their permanent residency within the jurisdiction of the district.

Documents Required :

Before applying for the Employment Exchange, please make sure to have the following documents scanned and ready:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Educational qualification certificates and Marksheets
  • Age proof (birth certificate or Admit Card)
  • Residence proof (voter ID, Aadhaar card, or electricity bill)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability certificate (if applicable)
  • Experience certificate (if applicable)
  • No Objection Certificate from current employer (if employed)
  • Any other relevant documents
  • Exiting Employment Exchange card (for renewal)

For Aadhaar Based Registration:

1. All citizens of India above the age of 14 years who are permanent residents of Assam are eligible to register their names in Employment Exchanges of the State of Assam.

2. Any applicant below age of 18 must have to submit an undertaking for parents/legal guardian’s consent regarding registration with Employment Exchange of Assam  and sharing/processing of personal data thereof. 

3. The candidates are eligible for Registration in one Employment Exchange only in the state, where they are permanent residents within the jurisdiction of the District.

4. Applicants who are already employed and seeking better employment have to be registered only after the production of a “No Objection Certificate” issued by the employer. It is applicable only for permanent and temporary central/state govt. employees.

5. All text box with an asterisk (*) symbol is mandatory to be filled up.

6. After successfully submitting the application Online Employment Exchange Card (X 10) will be issued to his/her registered Email. 

7. Every registrant shall renew his /her registration once in three (3) years in the due month as indicated on his/her Registration card.

8. Failure to renew the registration even after the lapse of the grace period (3 months), will lead to cancellation of registration and subsequent removal from Live Register maintained in the Employment Exchange.

9. No request for renewal of registration after the expiry of the due month and grace period shall be entertained under any circumstances.For Non-Aadhaar based Registration:

1. All citizens of India above the age of 14 years who are permanent residents of Assam ,(as per Office memorandum no .E/P-344/41472 Dtd 05-07-1971) are eligible to Register their names in Employment Exchanges of the State of Assam.

2. Any applicant below age of 18 must have to submit an undertaking for parents/legal guardian’s consent regarding registration with Employment Exchange of Assam  and sharing/processing of personal data thereof. 

3. The candidates are eligible for Registration in one Employment Exchange only in the state, where they are permanent residents within the jurisdiction of the District.

4. Applicants who are already employed and seeking better employment have to be registered only after the production of a “No Objection Certificate” issued by the employer. It is applicable only for permanent and temporary central/state govt. employees.

5. Once a candidate has got registered online and completes the requisite information in the form, he/she will be issued an acknowledgment receipt informing about the stipulated date and time for physical verification of all original documents.

6. The candidate is required to visit the concerned Employment Exchange in person for verification of all original documents on the stipulated date and time.

7. All text box with asterisk(*) symbol is mandatory to be filled up.

8. After physical verification if documents and certificates are found in order, an Employment Exchange Card (X-10) will be issued. Applicant will receive an Employment Exchange Card through his/her Email.

9. Every registrant shall renew his /her registration once in three (3) years in the due month as indicated on his/her Registration card by either personally visiting the concerned Employment Exchange or online. A grace period of three (3) months is provided to the registrants.

10. Failure to renew the registration even after the lapse of the grace period, will lead to cancellation of registration and subsequent removal from the Live Register maintained in the Employment Exchange.

11. No request for renewal of registration after the expiry of the due month and grace period shall be entertained under any circumstances. 

Re-registration of Employment Exchange Assam 2024 Online

Candidates who are willing to create their employment exchange registration certificate online can submit online applications in two verification processes. These two processes of authentication are Aadhaar-based authentication and non-Aadhaar-based authentication. Candidates can apply using any one of the authentications. We explain the application process for these two methods of verification below. They may follow the below mentioned steps to submit their applications online.

  • Scroll down, check Important Web Links section.
  • Click on Online Exchange Card Registration link.
  • A portal will load, Click on the “Services” tab.
  • Under “Employment Exchange”, click on “Registration of Employment Seeker in Employment Exchange”.
  • Select your registration process Apply With Aadhar.
  • To register online, enter your Aadhaar number, name, email address, mobile number, and password
  • Click on the “Submit” button.
  • You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on the “Submit” button.
  • Login to the portal by providing the User ID and Password.
  •  fill up the online form.
  • Upload scan copy of necessary documents.
  • After that You will be registered successfully.

If you have an Aadhaar card, you can register online. If you do not have an Aadhaar card, you will need to register offline at your nearest employment exchange.

How to Download Assam Employment Exchange Card

To download your registration certificate, follow these steps:

  • Go to the Sewa Setu portal of the Government of Assam.
  • Click on the “Login option.
  • Enter your Mobile No and password to login successfully.
  • Under “My Transaction”, click on “Download Registration Certificate”.
  • Click on the “Download” button.
  • Your registration certificate will be downloaded.
