odisha scholarship portal|Nua O Scholarship Apply Online|nua o scholarship:In a significant move ahead of elections, the Odisha government is all set to provide scholarships to students of general degree and post graduate courses under Nua-O scheme.Speaking at a Nua-O Fest during a visit to Jajpur on Tuesday, 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman V K Pandian explained the Cabinet decision on the Nua-O scholarships for students in the state.
Odisha Nua-O Scholarship: The Odisha government has decided to introduce the Nua-O scholarship for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Under the initiative, male students will get INR 9,000 annually, while female students will receive INR 10,000 to pursue higher education. Male students belonging to SC/ST and Nirman Shramik (construction worker) families will get INR 10,000, while female students of the categories will receive INR 11,000 annually.
Pandian said scholarship will be given to students enrolled in general degree & PG programs in state universities, government and non-government aided colleges, including aided Sanskrit colleges under the Higher Education department.

Under the initiative, male students will get Rs 9,000 annually, while female students will receive Rs 10,000. Male students belonging to SC/ST and Nirman Shramik (construction worker) families will get Rs 10,000, while female students of the categories will receive Rs 11,000 annually.
The Nua-O scholarship for the current academic year will be deposited in the bank accounts of the eligible students from February 20 onwards. This will be a new era of student empowerment towards realising the CM’s vision of ‘Nabin Odisha’ (New Odisha), he said. “A corpus of Rs 300 crore will be created and by August, Nua-O magic smart cards will be given to all eligible students, through which they would be able to avail additional benefits such as bus or train travel, access free WiFi, online courses, skill development and coaching programmes,” Pandian said.
The students whose parents are Income Tax payee or permanent government employees are not eligible for scholarship under the scheme. The Nua-O scholarships for current academic year will be deposited in the bank accounts of the eligible students from February 20 onwards and completed this month itself, he said.

Eligibility Criteria for Nua o Scholarship Odisha
- A permanent resident of Odisha State.
- All category (SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ General) students are eligible to apply this scholarship.
- The income of the parents of the students from all sources should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh (Two Lakh Fifty Thousand ) per annum.
- Minimum 50% in last exam appeared.
- Outside students (students of Odisha but studying outside Odisha) are also required to apply online for this scholarship.
- Students should not receive any other scholarship by the state or central government.

- Click on the “Save as draft” button to draft the information or click on “Next” button to save and proceed the scholarship form.

Candidates can check the status of their application status by following the below-mentioned steps.
