 A month after Integrated Health Management System (IHMS) was launched at Sawai Man Singh Hospital on a pilot basis for “fast and smooth functioning” of healthcare services, the system has faced protests from nurses of the hospital.The nurses are up against the way IHMS has been implemented and say they have been directed to use their personal single sign on (SSO) IDs for admitting, discharging and referring patients and also for arranging medicines and other consumables for them. The largest SMS hospital in Jaipur recently launched an Integrated Health Management System called iHMS. With the implementation of this system, not only patients are able to register and book appointments online, but doctors are also able to access all information related to a patient’s illness with just one click. Patient records including registration, admission, billing, examinations, and medications have been consolidated into one comprehensive history. 

For effective implementation of free OPD and IPD services round-the-clock, emergency procurement cell and help desk will be made at Sawai Man Singh Hospital and all attached group of hospitals. Medicines are available free-of-cost under free medicine scheme. In case, some medicines are not available under the scheme, the emergency procurement cell will buy them and provide to the patients.
